Experiences
Your itinerary is fully customized for you the way you want it. At Tripscapade, you won't find cookie-cutter packages.
Take a look at some of the experiences below to get your creative juices flowing. Your trip will be tailor-made, of course.
Norway
Norway is a region of fjords cutting into tall mountains, of waterfalls cascading down mountainsides, and of glaciers that never melt. Here, the seals and eagles reign, and the whales and fish patrol the deep fjords.
Norway is one of the few places which experience a phenomenon known as the midnight sun. Like a prolonged sunset and sunrise all at once, the midnight sun colours heaven and earth in a reddish yellow light. One can kayak on the still waters of the north by midnight it is probably the closest you´ll ever get to bathing in gold.
The midnight sun is not the only phenomenon that Norway has to offer. Norway also has the spectacular show of the Northern lights. The Northern lights convey a sense of being at the very edge of the world and getting a rare glimpse into the endless universe we are all just a tiny part of.
Alaska
Bears larger than a bison, national parks the size of nations, and glaciers bigger than other US states. The word ‘epic’ barely does Alaska justice.
Climb mountains, canoe wilderness rivers, strap on crampons and trek across glaciers. In July watch giant brown bears snagging salmon; in November
they head to Haines to see thousands of bald eagles gathered at the Chilkat River. See the Northern Lights. Take a Cruise.
If ice was all that came to mind when you thought of Alaska, think again.
South Africa
Every country in the world displays some diversity, but South Africa, stretching from the hippos in the Limpopo River to the penguins waddling on the Cape, takes some beating.
It befits its position at the southern end of the world’s most epic continent, with more types of terrain than photographers can shake their zoom lens at. There’s the iconic Table Mountain and Cape Point, Kruger National Park’s wildlife-stalked savannah.
If you’re interested in another kind of wildlife, hit the nightclubs on Cape Town’s jumping Long St or skydive, shark dive, bungee and even walk with the lions.
When it’s time to reflect on it all, do it over a fine glass of wine in Stellenbosch on the Garden Route.
Hawaii
Sugary beaches, Technicolor coral reefs and volcanoes beckoning adventurous spirits define Hawaii. Islands scattered in a cobalt blue ocean are heavenly, without the need for any tourist-brochure embellishment. Sunrises and sunsets are so spectacular that they're cause for celebration all by themselves.
As tropical getaways go, Hawaii couldn't be easier or more worth the trip. Whether you're dreaming of swimming in waterfall pools or lazing on various coloured sand beaches Hawaii has it all for you to unwind and relax.
For the adventurer you can go hiking across ancient lava flows and fluted pali (sea cliffs),learn to surf, the ancient Hawaiian sport of 'wave sliding,' and then snorkel or dive with giant manta rays and sea turtles. You can also Kayak to a deserted offshore island or hop aboard a winter whale-watching cruise.
Switzerland
Look past the silk-smooth chocolate, cuckoo clocks and yodelling – contemporary Switzerland, land of four languages, is all about epic journeys and sublime experiences.
Switzerland's hallucinatory landscapes demand immediate action – grab boots, leap on board, toot bike bell and let spirits rip. Skiing and snowboarding in Graubünden, Bernese Oberland and Central
Switzerland are winter choices.
When pastures turn green, hiking and biking trails abound in glacier-encrusted mountain areas and lower down along lost valleys, glittering lakeshores and pea green vineyards. View the natural grandeur from a hot-air balloon or parachute, or afloat a white-water raft.
Then there's those must-do- before-death moments like encountering Eiger's chiselled north face up close or reaching crevassed ice on Jungfraujoch (3454m), and you don’t need to be a mountaineer to do it.
Prague
Prague's maze of cobbled lanes and hidden courtyards is a paradise for the aimless wanderer, always beckoning you to explore a little further. Just a few blocks away from the Old Town Square you can stumble across ancient chapels, unexpected gardens, cute cafes and old-fashioned bars with hardly a
tourist in sight.
One of the great joys of the city is its potential for exploration – neighbourhoods such as Vinohrady and Bubeneč can reward the urban adventurer with countless memorable cameos, from the setting sun glinting off church domes, to the strains of Dvořák wafting from an open window.
Where you can order a beer without speaking, simply by placing a beer mat on the table? And where that beer is probably the best in the world? But it's not just
exquisite ale and a wonderfully relaxed drinking culture that keep bringing people back to Prague – there's wit and weirdness in equal measure: a public fountain where two figures pee in a puddle, spelling out literary quotations; a 1950s nuclear bunker hidden beneath a city-centre hotel; and a
cubist lamppost. Quirky doesn't even begin to describe it.
Budapest
Straddling the Danube River, with the Buda Hills to the west and the Great Plain to the east, Budapest is a gem of a city.
Budapest is a gem for all the right reasons– architecture (especially Art Nouveau), romance (particularly the views from the bridges) and sticky apricot jam – and some of the wrong ones, too (killer pálinka (fruit brandy), rickety trolleybuses, and checking out bodies in the Turkish baths). Budapest is a city whose history seems too complex to comprehend, by a beautiful but impenetrable language.
Russia
The world's largest country offers it all, from historic cities and idyllic countryside to artistic riches, epic train rides and vodka-fuelled nightlife.
Russia’s vast geographical distances and cultural differences mean you don’t tick off its highlights in the way you might those of a smaller nation. Instead, view Russia as a collection of distinct territories, each one deserving separate attention.
Rather than transiting via Moscow, consider flying direct to a regional centre such as Irkutsk, Novosibirsk or Yekaterinburg and striking out from there. With a welcome spread of Western-style hostels along the Trans-Siberian route and the ease of booking trains and flights online, it's never been easier to organise this kind of trip.

Spain
Passionate, sophisticated and devoted to living the good life, Spain is both a stereotype come to life and a country more diverse than you ever imagined.
For all the talk of Spain's history, this is a country that lives very much in the present and there's a reason 'fiesta' is one of the best-known words in the Spanish language – life itself is a fiesta here and everyone seems to be invited. Perhaps you'll sense it along a crowded, postmidnight street when all the world has come out to play. Or maybe that moment will come when a flamenco performer touches something deep in your soul. Whenever it happens, you'll find yourself nodding in recognition: this is Spain.
